Dakota F. ’20 and Tessa W. ’20 Among Girls Basketball All-State Selections

Last week, the NY Sportswriters Association named its girls basketball All-State Selections, and there were some familiar names listed — Dakota F. 20 and Tessa W. ’20. Chosen among the best girls basketball players New York private, public and parochial schools have to offer, Dakota and Tessa were named Class B 11th Team All-State and 15th Team All-State, respectively. This honor designates Dakota and Tessa as being two of the best girls basketball players in the entire state. Girls Varsity Basketball coach Andy Chappell was incredibly pleased to hear of his players’ achievements: “Tessa and Dakota have been working so hard over the last five years to improve themselves as basketball players and to improve this team. They've done nothing but bring us championship after championship. Their leadership is incredible, and their work ethic sets a great example for all of our players. They were a huge reason for our success this year, and I'm so proud and happy for them that they get this well-deserved recognition.” Congratulations to Dakota and Tessa on receiving such a spectacular honor!
