Graduating Students Say Farewell to CGPS at Senior Dismissal

On Wednesday, over 100 seniors processed through the lobby and past a gathering of the faculty and staff members who helped mold them into the inspiring and thought-provoking young adults they are today. Warm embraces and good wishes for our seniors were plentiful as members of the Class of 2019 said goodbye to the halls of Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School and their dedicated teachers. David Morss, the seniors’ Dean, described the senior dismissal as a particularly emotional event due to it being a moment when many students “become acutely aware that they’re not going to be seeing each other, the School or teachers every day for much longer.” Graduating senior Roxanne J. was excited to participate the CGPS tradition: “I've been here since kindergarten, and I've seen all the seniors leave. It's been a nostalgic moment for everyone coming together. It's just so nice to finally be here and have the experience I've seen all my friends go through as well.”
