Pre-K “Animals in Winter” Are Everywhere at the Science Share

Things got wild during the Pre-K Science Share last week. Now in its 20th year, the Pre-K Science Share showcases the lessons our youngest students have been learning in science. The curriculum focuses on “Animals in Winter,” including hibernation, migration, and animals active in colder months. Pre-K students have also completed a unit on birds and one on bats.

Booths showcased fun scientific facts about animals, which family and friends were invited into the Grammar School to see. “From a bat scent experiment to an echolocation experiment, each class had various experiments or interactive aspects to help facilitate learning,” Grammar School teacher Krista Pellegrino explained. After visiting the Science Share, both the Pre-K Diamonds and Pre-K Stars sang science songs that showed off their robust bat knowledge!
