STEMCity Camp Goes to NASA

Last month, students in the School’s STEMCity camp, which gives 4th, 5th and 6th graders the opportunity to explore various parts of New York City where STEM activities occur on a daily basis, took a trip to the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies! While there, NASA scientist Dr. Dorothy Peteet taught the students about her research, which examines our planet’s climate through plants in different environments and climates around the world. The students, with help from their Prep School camp counselors, explored the differences between climate and weather by making posters for a mock NYC science education PSA!
